...

...as I haven't posted anything new for a while I wanted to give a quick photographic update.

I am currently working on my final bachelor thesis - a photo book. For this reason most of the photographs taken over the last time, have been hold back and are going to be published in the book.

Deadline is in 2 month, just before I start my 3 month central america travel...

so, be excited... I am ;)

London. December 2012

This night shot was taken during my last weeks in England. It was a very cold night, but I think the result was worth being patiently freezing.

#Demo2012 - London

Yesterday, thousands of students were expected to march through the streets of London to stand up for their future.

All in all, the atmosphere has been good but there were fewer marchers than expected. One reason for the large decline of the number of people marching compared to the protests in 2010, was probably the extremely bad weather. An outraged group of protesters claimed that this years demo failed due to poor organisation of the NUS (the national voice of students). To underline this position they stormed the stage near the end of the demo.

Self-portrait Nov'12 - Stoke-on-Trent

I am currently doing a lot of research work about self-portraiture as I am going to write an essay about this topic in one of my lectures here in England. In the end of december i will also have to present a portfolio regarding this topic. As the self is difficult to represent and I have to confront myself with who I am, what I want to be and how I want to be seen, it is going to be a progressive work and I plan to present the development till the final portfolio here in my blog.

This is one of my first self-portraits done due to this reason.

JCB Mud Run'12

JCB is one of the world's top three manufacturers of construction equipment and hosted one of this year’s most exciting charity events: the JCB Mud Run.

JCB Mud Run is part of an awesome target  – their digging deep appeal is supposed to raise £1 million for the NSPCC to help vulnerable young people at risk of cruelty in the county of Staffordshire. The event took place in Staffordshire and competitors have been transported to the start from JCB’s World HQ in Rocester to run, walk, slither and slide their way around 20 obstacles across a 5 mile course.
